✿。•*¨*•。 VIP Pets Anthropomorphic Hybrid Custom Dolls •*¨*•。✿

Amazon

I spotted The VIP Pets series of toys, when they were released a few years back, I really liked their vibrant hair colours and one or two of their faces, but not their bodies, so I decided to add them to my list of possible customs when and if the inspiration struck me.

A couple of weeks ago, I found two for sale on Ebay at a good price, so I decided finally bring my ideas into fruition and snapped them up.

After a little research, as I had only seen these toys in passing, I discovered the orange haired one is called Alex and the blue haired is called Taylor.
Amazon.co.uk
Taylor has a more natural coloured skin tone, compared to Alex's more orangey tone (I'm thinking she'll likely have a Monster High body once finished.

I had a spare Azone Body in my victim's box so I thought I'd see how well Taylor's head matched and if it would work well with that body, and so this little girl was born.

I was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't need to tweak or alter the neck or neck hole in anyway, her head just popped straight on, turns fine with no wobbling and is a really good match colour wise too!

I thought the little collar she originally came with was so cute so I put it onto her new body, where it looks even cuter!

The little dress she is wearing was made by a very talented Ebay Seller called spider8lesley who makes very cute outfits for Blythe / Azone sized and Monster High Dolls... If you'd like to check her out, click the link in her name above.

As she now has an Azone body, she has the full functionality those bodies offer.

Unfortunately, these bodies only come in natural skin tones, which mostly is a good thing but sometimes an unnatural colour is required, like for Alex's orange skin tone which is why I'm thinking of putting her on a Monster High Body, hopefully her head won't be too heavy for the body.

At the moment I'm working on giving her a new face, I was originally going to do the same with Taylor, but once I saw how cute she looked on the Azone Body, there was no way I could bring myself to strip off her face and repaint her.

I'll be sharing her photographs once I've finished her, so watch this space I guess!

.•:*¨¨*:•. Club Chic Pippa .and Crystal Anthropomorphic Dolls •:*¨¨*:•.

Amazon.co.uk

Back in 2014, MGA Entertainment released a series of anthropomorphic dolls, called Club Chic. The gimmick was they all attended a school called Bear Valley Hills, and each one dressed in her own style which was designed to appeal to the fashion trends of the time, there was a "Chic" one, A "Geek" one, a "Goth" one, a "Pop" one and a "Hip Hop" one...

Sounds horribly similar to those gawd awful Spice Girls, doesn't it?

Unlike the Spice Girls, these dolls were actually pleasant to look at and had thier own individual "talents"!

Pippa, who you can see on the far right was the Blogger of the group, with beautiful long magenta hair and oversized "geekish" glasses... she came with a cute little owl faced bag, which is too big for her and so doubles up as a mini bag or purse for her human owner.

Next to her is Candy, dressed in a "Pop" inspired outfit with streaked pink and yellow hair, she is an International Supermodel apparently.

Then comes, Lil' B the Hip Hop dancer, wearing street clothes, headphones and comes with a little bag in the shape of a retro Boombox.

Violet is a Gothy artist who has a blue streak in her otherwise black hair and comes with a cute little spider's web bag.

And finally, Crystal the Film Starlet, who comes dressed in a silver gown ready for her red carpet debut.

In terms of posability there isn't really much as they only turn at the head, shoulders and hips, plus they have their left arms moulded into a "hand on hip" type pose while their right hands are formed into what I like to refer to as a grabby hand.

I did however, really like thier faces and thought I might be able to turn one or more of them into a cute little anthropomorphic custom, so when I saw one come up on Ebay a few years after their release, I snapped her up, and so purchased my first  Club Chic Pippa!

Once I received her, I changed my mind about customising her, she is just too cute and has little pads on her hands and the bottom of her feet, she also has a cute little pot bellied shape to her body and her face transfers and little freckles are adorable too, so of course, I couldn't bring myself to do it to her!

Her head is made of really hard plastic and as it turned out not easy to remove... I unfortunately marked her head hole trying so I decided the best thing to do would be to buy another so I can keep one as is and customise the other, so that's what I did.

Only, things changed again, because the more I kept looking at Crystal, I kept wondering if it would be possible to alter her face somewhat to make her look more like one of my dream dolls - Peteena Fashion Poodle by Hasbro.

Peteena  - worthpoint.com
I decided to keep an eye out for another Pippa as well as a Crystal, I wanted to get them second hand as I don't need the accessories or clothing, just the heads, for that reason, condition wasn't so much of an issue either.

So I was really happy to find both for sale in one lot at a really good price, so I snapped them up.

Here's a photo' of Crystal, from her Ebay listing prior to me getting my hands on her, decapitating her and striping her face...

One thing I noticed was that her right arm was bent, not her left so I reasoned I could possibly swap her left one with Pippa's bent left arm, which means I'll be able to keep her body but not have to deal with the pre-posed arms that these dolls come with, and as both have the same size bodies, I'll have two outfits for my new doll while I get around to making her something more fitting to her new look.

Of course having a much bigger head than Peteena, she is not going to be a perfect replica, but you know me, I love big headed dolls...

Now I've just got to find some time to make my vision a reality, wish me luck!

<(^_^)> Pinkie Cooper doll by The Bridge Direct <(^_^)>

When The Bridge Direct released their Pinkie Cooper range of dolls in the U.K, I of  course wanted one.
"Dem dam anthro' dolls get me every time"!

I got my hands on a Pinkie Cooper 2014 just to check them out, the plan was to re-body if I wasn't happy with her...

Well Pinkie arrived safe and sound and after I de-boxed her I started to rethink my custom ideas, her body is adorable but more about later...

After playing "dress up" with her I realised I like her best in a Monster High C.A.M dress and Skuller Maze boots - Dolls in roller skates are another of my weaknesses!

The more I played with her the more I kept seeing her as a rabbit, the ear (hair) holes would be useful for this project too, so I determined to buy another so I could make myself a rabbit and also have a perfect Pinkie Cooper too...

Well it's taken a while -too many dolls, too little time and all that but I finally got another so work could now commence.

🐰 Littlest Pet Shop Hybrid Doll - My Latest Custom 🐰

I finally got around to getting this little girl together, I've had the idea for this little lady for years but it's crazy hard to not only find the right sized Littlest Pet Shop toy to hybrid but also the right kind of cute faced toy to use.

I've done a few of these funny little hybrids in the past, you may recall my dog, monkey, frog, bunny and panda girl minis and my Pingi the Chicken Lady - large bird faced girl on a Liv doll body.

If not, or you'd like to check them out you can find the posts by clicking on the following links...

So anyway, I managed to get this large flop eared rabbit Littlest Pet Shop pet, I knew she would be absolutely perfect for what I had in mind - something very kitsch looking obviously!

I had the idea it would be easy as I could just use another Liv body for her like I did for Chicken Lady but I failed to take into account her long ears which it turned out obstructed her shoulders so much I had to rethink this option.

After trying out several other jointed bodies (I really wanted her to be as posable as possible) I decided the best type of body would be an Azone one, although its much smaller than a Liv doll's body and more childlike in appearance it seemed a much better choice as it would allow me to dress and redress the doll without having to squeeze the clothing past her ears.

To strip the factory paint and repaint her as I envisaged her I decided it would be easier to remove her ears, this also gave me the ability to paint and seal her ears without worrying about the paint getting onto her face or having to find some way to prop her up while the layers were drying.

Once stripped, repainted and sealed, I reattached her ears and attatched her head it's new body, much Milliput, waiting and super glue later, I finally had her finished.  The beauty of the Milliput and glue method I devised - I have no idea how I managed this, actually allows her head to move from side to side, which adds so much to posing and photographing her.

I found her cute little outfit from a seller / doll clothes maker called spider8lesley on Ebay which suited her perfectly. The outfit is very well made and a perfect fit for her Azone body, if you'd like to check out her other items click on her name for a link to her Ebay page.

Just for funs, here's a before and after of my little girl...

I love how she turned out, she makes me smile every time I look at her!

Hugs,

Meet Pingie...The Chicken Lady - Littlest Pet Shop hybrid Doll

Since I've been unable to post most in recent months I've been keeping myself busy with making myself some new customs and hybrids when time has permitted.

A while back I posted about my Littlest Pet Shop hybrid minis which were really just test pieces until I could get my hands on a large Littlest Pet Shop animal to make myself a "Barbie" sized version...

Sorry for the dodgy image it was the only one I could find :(
Well I finally got my hands on one - not a cute little kitty, puppy or bunny as I had envisioned but living in the U.K it's really not easy to find the larger versions so I had to make do with whatever I could find on Ebay.

About a month ago I found several listed (they seem to come in waves - nothing for months, then 5 or 6 come along at once) so I luckily had quite a good choice of "heads" with which to build my new girl to be.

Ebay listing Photo'

I couldn't resist this little purple penguin when I discovered her for sale as I could imagine her on her human body and how cute she'd look so I placed my bid and waited.

Ebay Listing Photo'

Thankfully I won, but as I hadn't gotten my hopes up and allowed my mind to fully explore how I was going to go about turning her into a 12 inch doll, I really hadn't considered what body I would use for her, I decided the best thing to do would be to wait until she arrived and once I have an idea how heavy that head is I'd have a better idea of what type of body would have a neck strong enough to support it.

See what I mean? Those eyes are just adorable.

I decided to let the body problem wait a while longer as I just couldn't wait to start painting her up with a new "face"!

Several coats later I finally had her looking just right, sealed the paint job and was still raring to go, only now I had to wait for the paint to dry!!

I experimented with Barbie, Pullip and Obitsu bodies but none of them pleased me, one thing I didn't want was for her to have a long neck, my plan was to try to keep her as proportional as possible, well as proportional as she can be with a big giant head!

I lowered her head slightly before securing it onto her neck as I really have a problem with neck length - don't get me started on "Gail Platt's" giraffe features... Seriously just look at that thing,

I can't tell if her shoulders are pushed down or if her neck is elongated, or both - either way, it's too much for my little mind to deal with so I guess I better move swiftly on!

Anyhoo, I guess it's time to show you how she turned out now huh?, so without further ado, here she is...

"Hi"

She's a funny little thing, she tries so hard to be stylish and hip but that big head of hers and those chicken features are just too funny for her to be able to pull it off very well, bless!

I finally settled on a Liv body as it had all the posability that a Obitsu one does, but is heavier so is better placed to carry the weight of her head.

The other reason I went with the Liv body is because it is so much easier to dress them, her clothing size is pretty generic and so she can were most Barbie sized clothes, as for shoes, she fits Monster High and Ever After High perfectly so she gets to have a really cool shoe collection!

Another cool thing about those shoes is that they allow her to stand in her pose by herself.

Also, proportionally she looks pretty good, the bulkier size of the Liv body carries her head size really well.

Now I'm reaching the end of this post, I've finally realised I should probably have taken a "nudie" photograph of her, so you can see that neck of hers and her proportions better, instead of covering it up in that high necked sweater.

Unfortunately, I really don't have much time right now so another time maybe, for now I think I'll just give you a "before and after" recap instead...

I decided against giving her eyes a "little white dot" to indicate light source as I wanted to highly glaze her eyes instead, that way, the light source which shows in her eyes will move depending on it's direction at the time of the photograph, Which in turn gives a more natural feel to them, if natural is an adequate word to describe a human / chicken faced hybrid lady!

That's about it for now, so until the next time, take care,

Littlest Pet Shop Anthropomorphic Hybrids

A few years back I had a weird idea that I'd experiment with making an Ooak Anthro doll - I'm not sure if you've noticed but I have a bit of a thing about Anthropomorphic dolls!

Anyhoo, the idea came to me after I'd got my hands on some mini Littlest Pet Shop animals that I hadn't a clue what to do with...

I originally bought them for their accessories and since I've become disabled I no longer sell on Ebay, this is because the walk to the Post Office has gotten too much for me and worse, both the Post offices in the Village have now closed and the nearest one is two villages away so there's no way for me to get there to post things I've sold online.

So what to do with all those unwanted Littlest Pet Shop Toys?

Only one thing I could do, and that's have a fiddle about trying them on various bodies of unwanted small doll that  I'm unable to sell online either...

This turned into a "What if...?" train of thought and that in turn became a "How to..?"

After that, The Littlest Pet Shop Hybrids were born!

Monkey Girl was made using a Polly Pocket body, Frog Girl has a TY Body, Panda Girl, a mini Pullip body and Dog Girl a mini Bratz body.

Rabbit Girl also has a Polly Pocket body.

I really like how they turned out, but I'm not so sure about the Bratz body, she's a little tall for my liking.

I have to admit it did become a bit addictive and I bought several more to customise, although I haven't gotten around to working on them yet!

Tulia Dil, Thistle & Bon Bon

On 28th December 2009 Ion Tallman submitted his design for a "Garden Mother" doll which he called "Tulia Dil" to the Patch Together Website.

http://www.patchtogether.com/designs/tula-dil-a-garden-mother-2607.html

The concept behind his design is, in his own words "For my first submission to Patch together I wanted to make a character from a story I have been working on my entire life.
Character bio: A young mother Tula-Dil lives in a giant forest with her people the Garden. Garden are a group of primitive plant people. The Garden don`t know that the forest they live in is all that remains of their once great world. An alien queen salvaged the remains of the garden planet (along with parts of many others) and attached them to her massive ship. She hopes to bring the parts together to create a new world."

The prototype design looked like this:

http://www.patchtogether.com/designs/tula-dil-a-garden-mother-2607.html

... And the original doll was to be: "A 5" poseable soft vinyl Garden Native mother doll with a removable grass skirt. -For adult collectors. -Flower boobies will be painted on not sculpted. -Three different color schemes representing seasonal color changes. -Will come with a 2 inch baby Garden named Thistle."

http://www.patchtogether.com/designs/tula-dil-a-garden-mother-2607.html
The idea proved very popular and received enough votes that Ion Tallman was successful in his quest for positive feedback and the doll was placed into Patch Together's "On Demand" section - where is was placed awaiting enough pre orders to be placed so that Ion Tallman could see life and made into a tangible object - again it was successful and after receiving the required amount of preorders Ion Tallman was able to bring his creation to life.

The above photograph shows the progression and prototype (first sculpt) of Tula-Dil and her little brother Thistle and his twin Bon Bon, from first sculpt to finished article and subsequent limited edition versions which have been available at various times.

You can follow the progression from first sculpts to completed (finished) design / doll here: Tula-blog

At present the only version which is readily available is the one in the picture above, which can be purchased directly from Ion via his Etsy Shop GrenadineSupreme , which is where I found that photograph and the two below.

The above photograph shows the back of the box, with part of her story written next to a beautiful illustration of Tulia Dil and her siblings.

Here's the information on Tulia - Dil and Co. from Ion's Etsy Listing: "Tula-Dil is a young girl of the garden charged with taking care of her little brother Thistle and sister Bon-Bun. Don't miss your chance at this very rare figure set only available in this shop."

"Set Includes:
6"Tula-Dil green vinyl figure jointed at the neck arms and legs.
2"Thistle and Bon-Bun mini Vinyl figure Jointed at the neck.

Tula-Dil, Thistle, and Bon-Bun are copyright ©ion Tallman All rights Reserved."

I don't know exactly what it is about Tulia Dil, but she had me intrigued from the first time I saw her in 2011, for some reason she reminds me of those Birdseye Peas adverts from when I was small ... The one where the peas happily bounce into the packets to be frozen - Or maybe I dreamt that.

Now I remember it's The Poddington Peas cartoon from the 1980's... See what I mean?

Anyway Tulia Dil reminds me of peas and as you can probably guess, I've taken the plunge and ordered the set, I think Mudwamp, Ponda & Wanda will really enjoy having some "Gardens" around to play with...

☼ Studio Uoo - Wanda & Ponda Pond ☼

I've recently placed an order with Studio Uoo...

The first time I tried to buy a Wonder Frog was around a year ago when I had been exploring Wu Studio Online Shop and was about to place a very large order for several full size dolls and accessories but was unable to enter my delivery details into the website's forms as it was only set up for Chinese addresses ...

so I emailed them, explaining the situation, sending a screenshot of my order (of over £150) and requesting help but I never received a reply.
I knew a Flickr friend from Spain had purchased from them and have seen so many in the hands of American collectors so I knew there must be an English language based website from which to order, and if so the non-reply to my email could have been due to the language barrier but it so frustrated me that after fruitlessly searching so many times over the months for this elusive website from which to order so I gave up on the idea of ever owning a Wanda or even better a Greig Marsh.

Full size Grieg Marsh

Fast forward to 23rd March this year and ... I'm not too sure what possessed me, I don't remember actually having anything in mind but I found myself just playing about with Google - I do this sometimes and often when I do I find many interesting things I never knew existed, but anyway this time I absent mindedly found myself searching for Studio Uoo and this time I not only find the website and all manner of adorable things contained therein, sadly most of which were sold out, like my long coveted Greig Marsh Tadpole Doll.

Mini Greig Marsh
The Wanda I've always wanted is the bright green one but more than I wanted the froggy I really wanted the tadpole I've wanted that doll for close on 5 years now and depressingly he was sold out in both the 13+ cm and 5 cm versions.

Mini Ponda Ponds
I had a look through the other 5 cm tadpoles on offer and after spotting Ponda Pond decided on her as she is light coloured enough so that I could more than likely customise or even turn her into a Greig if I want too after I've got to know her a bit.

So now I had a mini tadpole in my basket and I got to thinking "What a great little friend for Mudwamp these little anthro's would make" so I did another search but this time for the mini versions and yay, after noticing that they not only had the green Wanda I love in a mini version but it was also in stock!

Mini Wanda The Wonder Frog

So into the basket that went too! Now comes the worst part of ordering any dolls from The Orient and that's the wait but it can't be helped so they always have the best toys!

Annoyingly, while writing this post I couldn't resist going back to Studio Uoo for another look about well it can't be helped there are so many wants over there and now I know it's possible to purchase from them and stupidly easy too..

So anyway nosing around I discovered something exciting... Guess who's back in stock?

I feel another shopping trip coming on lol now if I can just remember my password...!
