The piece consists of five canvas squares measuring 2x2 feet each. The Symbols on them and their subsequent individual titles, and the meaning of each were taken from The Qur’ān, which I read whilst I was researching for this piece.
The Cardinal point which the piece is placed in and its subsequent meaning are also listed in the picture header for each piece.
The symbols were made of Papier-mâché and shaped onto the canvas itself. They were then painted in psychedelic patterns and colours.
The first picture shows the Quadtych as it was designed to be mounted.
